Travel and Accommodation

The Conference will be held at the Strand Campus of King’s College London. The closest tube station is Temple, however Charing Cross, Covent Garden, and Holborn are all within easy walking distance.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be available at International Hall (University of London), located close to Russell Square in central London. International Hall is within walking distance of King’s College London (the walk is approximately 1 mile). We have negotiated favourable rates of £42 per person per night for dinner, bed and breakfast (please note that this does not include the conference dinner on Friday 20 July). The rooms are single rooms with mostly shared facilities but individual wash basins in each room.

Advance purchase train tickets can be much cheaper than tickets bought on the day. By booking direct with a train operator (such as East Coast) you will avoid the booking fees charged by some websites and may have access to extra discounts.

Advance purchase bus tickets can also be much cheaper than their walk-up counterparts. The main intercity bus companies are National Express and Megabus (who also offer discounted train tickets on some routes).
