The optional theme of this year’s conference is ‘meaning and ineffability’.
The conference features keynote addresses from Daniel K. L. Chua (Hong Kong University), David Davies (McGill University), and Günter Zöller (University of Munich/McGill University) with respondents including Paul Boghossian (New York University) and Peter Dews (University of Essex). There will be an opening plenary session addressing the question Is Adorno a dead duck? with Roger Scruton (University of St Andrews), Andrew Bowie (Royal Holloway, University of London), and Stephen Hinton (Stanford University). The conference will close with a summary plenary discussion whose panellists include Babette Babich (Fordham University) and Jerrold Levinson (University of Maryland).
Conference attendance is open to all and we warmly encourage the participation of non-speaking delegates. Reasonably priced conference accommodation is available at £42 per night.
